Irish was born in Ireland and now resides in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. “This Island creates music and musicians, art and artists. I found a shift to take things more seriously when I moved here.” And she did just that. Her latest release, Little Bones, gained her recognition around the globe, including a 2020 JUNO nomination for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year, seven Music PEI 2020 nominations, including Album of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, and SOCAN Songwriter of the Year, and a Canadian Folk Music Nomination for Solo Artist of the Year. Irish’s live performances are a thing of raw power, emotion and a connection with her audience that just has to be seen to be believed.
Irish Mythen is one of the few performers I have seen who bowls me over each time I see her, she makes me cry with her poignant lyrics and passionate vocals and makes me laugh with her cheeky Irish banter

Stephanie Cadman is that rare, extraordinary thing: a quadruple threat.

A world-renowned dancer, an accomplished actress of stage and screen, a virtuoso musician, and a knockout singer, Stephanie’s talents know no bounds. Maintaining a busy touring schedule both as a Canadian Folk Award-nominated solo musician and as a member of the all-female country trio Belle Starr, Stephanie has rocked audiences across North America and beyond. For most artists, that would be enough. Not Stephanie. Between her starring role in the Mirvish Production of Once, her celebrated career as an in-demand fiddler, and her breathtaking and award-winning dancing, Stephanie Cadman has proven herself to be one of Canada’s most versatile performers. She must sleep, but it’s hard to imagine when.

Stephanie began her professional stage career at a young age as a lead in the hit musical Swingstep. She went on to perform in Mirvish Productions’ Celtic

review Needfire, and the Broadway National Tour of 42nd Street. Widely- recognized as one of Canada’s top violinists, Stephanie’s stirring fiddle has also been featured in Bowfire, the dynamic all-violin stage show. Along the way, she has appeared as a fiddler and tap dancer with symphonies across North America including the Kennedy Center’s National Symphony Orchestra. In her greatest coup to date, in 2014 she was cast in the Mirvish production of Once, among the most beloved stage shows of recent years.

The Seaside Music Festival presents a night of all things Americana with Singer-Songwriter Leeroy Stagger and Old-Time Fiddle and & Banjo duet Porch Couch.

Leeroy Stagger

An alternative country singer/songwriter hailing from Lethbridge, AB, Leeroy Stagger pens songs dealing with life’s challenges and questions that are literate but down to earth. After 11 albums, two EPs and 17 years as a singer-songwriter, Leeroy Stagger has been cementing his reputation as one of Canada’s leading figures in the Americana genre. An award winning artist including top prize at the Alberta Peak Performance Project, Stagger’s sound has been described as a little Steve Earle, a little John Prine, a little Bruce Springsteen and a whole lot of heart and soul.

Porch Couch(Jaron Freeman-Fox & Alan Mackie)

There’s something special about Fiddle and Banjo. Before Guitars, Mandolins, Dobros and String Basses made their way into the Appalachian traditions, Fiddle and Banjo carved out the core of what would become one of the most beloved traditions in American history. When this rich legacy is tapped into by two musicians of the caliber of Jaron Freeman-Fox and Alan Mackie, the full potential of this enduring beauty is undeniable. Each with a long list of recording credits and always in high demand for their stage work, Jaron and Alan have been playing together for over a decade. Their musical chemistry as much as their virtuosity make Porch Couch one of those duets that remind everyone why there’s something special about Fiddle and Banjo.
